Space technology investment: the final frontier
Rapid evolution in space technology, particularly miniaturisation and new launch capabilities, is lowering costs and opening up new use cases, sometimes referred to as 'New Space' or 'Space 2.0'. Sensing massive opportunities, investors are flocking to the segment; even as of 2016, over 110 venture capital firms had invested in space-related firms, and this continues to grow.
